Beatys Butte Roundup: November 4, 2015- November 22, 2015

Starting on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, the BLM is launching a massive capture of 1,400 horses in Oregon. Born wild, these animals will lose their freedom and their families in this roundup. Some will lose their lives. Most will be sent to holding facilities where nearly 50,000 wild horses and burros are stockpiled.

Update: Wyoming Checkerboard Lawsuit Hearing & Ruling

On Monday, March 2, 2015, the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming held an oral argument on the lawsuit filed by the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign, The Cloud Foundation, Return to Freedom, Carol Walker and Kimerlee Curyl against the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for its fall 2014 Wyoming Checkerboard wild horse roundup.

Sulphur Roundup: February 25, 2015

On February 25, 2015, the BLM began the removal of approximately 100 wild horses in Utah. Jim Schnepel of the Wild Horses of America Foundation was on the ground during the round up.

Fish Creek Roundup: February 13, 2015

The BLM is scheduled on Feb. 13 to begin removing approximately 500 wild horses from the Fish Creek Herd Management Area (HMA) located approximately 20 miles south of Eureka, Nevada.

Little Fish Lake Roundup: February 8, 2015

Approximately 150 wild horses will be rounded up from the Little Fish Lake Herd Management Area on February 8.
